Wind sure was playing havoc last night with the fog.
Some of my personal thoughts on last night's haunt.
Seems that a lot of screamsters have already quit because they got "cold" Friday night - that's why there were several empty areas in a few of the houses -- this was coming from a yellow shirt
DOLL FACTORY: WOW where did this talent come from? They were spot on last night delivering some very good scares. Considering this was probably my least favorite indoor haunt last year, kudos for turning it around. Very nice job and my favorite of the night.
CAMP: For some reason this haunt just doesn't do it for me. I was optimistic after the first two scenes where we did get a couple of jumps from our group, but it went down hill fast after that. Lack of fog due to the wind didn't help, but I felt that the talent just wasn't on. Maybe they worked it out later in the evening, but it just wasn't there when we went through.
ASYLUM: Rather empty tonight. Some of the talent was trying hard to make up for the lack of cast, but it was a shell of itself on VIP night. Still my favorite haunt at Worlds of Fun though even with a lack luster trip through it tonight. This haunt just has to have people in it -- especially in the marquee rooms like the padded room and the the twisted spleen among others.
'SHED: longest line of the night due to the fact they were barely letting anyone in. Talent was fine, just never have liked this house that much. I think it might be the theme, not sure. I got a few jumps in our group but the talent seemed to be "trying to hard" if you know what I mean. Lack of fog outside (again due to the wind) hurt the screamsters that were out there from being able to get a good scare. Is the pig in the table working? It didn't move while we were in there.
LORE/CB: I think the talent was getting tired by the time we went through. Upstairs they got a good jump out of me with one guy hiding in between scenes in the dark. Totally got me - very effective. There were way too many vamps just sort of "hanging out" though upstairs and not really trying imho. I thought the hanging out was supposed to happen downstairs not upstairs. Now onto downstairs -- love Club Blood. I wish they could make the subway train more convincing. Can they make the light look like it is coming towards you while going down the tunnel? I still think the bar tender needs to learn to do flare -- would help so much. The actual dance area was too crowded with vampires when we went through. Can you guys space yourselves out so that there are people in other parts of the club? Still love that last room.

DOMINION: Wow, what a turnaround from last year. Apparently you guys went to scare school because even with the fog being less than it should be due to the wind your misdirection scares were spot on. Very good this year... and to think I wanted this to be replaced this year with a new theme. Nope, I want this back next year with the same talent.
FZ: The fog was great in some sections and not so much in others. Need to play to your advantage where it is thick and hide there. Hiding in the open won't really work too much. The slider near Doll House and the exit was spot on and got lots of good screams from guests.
OUTLAW: Ugh, this one is so bad. I'm not sure what you can do with it. The talent tries, but they just don't have anything to work with there. More hiding spots maybe? I don't know what could be done here to improve it.
CARNEVIL: I think there is way too much light in this area. The talent is trying, but it is hard to hide with that much light everywhere.
