That app looks pretty cool.  Only thing I see that is missing compared to other Theme Park apps is wait times.

I played with it.  I don't have a long term use for it but I can see where a lot of others would.  I would definately download one for a park that I haven't been to or rarely visit.

Wait times would be pretty sweet.

For wait times, and maybe for bathrooms since it has now been almost 2 years since my last visit to the park.  As such, I don't have the exact layout memorized like I used to :)  If this became a standard app across all Cedar Fair parks it would be a huge benefit to Platinum pass holders. I've been to Knott's several times, but if I was to go there tomorrow I would need a map to find bathrooms, food, smoking areas etc.  The rides I still have a decent memory map for, but non-attractions I can see it being useful.

Did everyone overlook where Brandon said the earlier cartoon looking pictures are not actually part of this app but for another project?

I didn't.  :angel4:

The other project is actually available already if you can find it.

Do you think we will get fast lane like they announced for kings island? Reduced wait sounds good

It's possible.  I really like the system.  The QBots or whatever they're called cost nearly as much and with this option you don't have to worry about time management.

I wonder if you get to pick your seat?

Well unlimited reduced wait from 12-7 sounds good, and they are limiting the amount sold each day, sounds good for parks that you want to get all the credits for

I'm too much of cheapskate to buy the Fast Lane benefits. Shoot went to Olive Garden for the first time the other day and about had a heart attack because of the prices.

Do Worlds Of Fun lines really need it. Unless during Haunt only.

I'd do it for HAUNT.  I usually am only able to get to HAUNT once each season due to marching competitions with my band on the weekends / Mizzou home football games, so I'd definitely pay for FOL perks during HAUNT

Not a big fan of Fast Pass type systems unless they were built into the park originally. SFSTL's setup seemed really half-assed and had their FastPass lines were sometimes confusing or odd routes/paths. You could tell it was just tacked on and sometimes regular riders misunderstood why we were passing them. Not to mention it was way overpriced and didn't work on a few major rides.

I don't think WoF is ever busy enough to warrant me buying one at the prices most other parks charge for them.

During Haunt they most certainly are.  July 4th weekend has also historically been busy.

But is it worth it to spend time/money on installing this system for basically 1 month (and 1 day in July) of the operating year?

Build-out cost sounds minimal.  It's not a Q-Bot or FastPass system.  It is an arm-band that allows you to use a separate line.

I agree with Bradley.

Patriot and Prowler already have secondary-express queues built.  Timberwolf's chicken-exit could be used for FOL access.  I think the exits of Spinning Dragons and Nile could be used with little issue.

The go kart ticket booth has a Gate Central sales terminal and doesn't see frequent traffic.  They could sell the FOL wristbands from there.  You could also include unlimited go kart rides as a part of the FOL fee.

With five rides offering the service for 7 hours it would probably cost the park $320 in additional labor per day meaning they would only need to sell at least seven wristbands at $50 a piece to make a profit.

I think it could be successful on just about every Saturday in July and October.  By biggest concern is balancing the number of guests from each queue.  I know in past seasons some haunt lines have been at a complete stand still for several minutes or more because those with Front of Line access were ALWAYS given priority.  I think for every two groups taken from the express queue one group from the standby line should be allowed to proceed.

Don't forget that MAMBA has that additional pathway on the exit ramp that goes behind the photo hut.
Spinning Dragons has the 2 paths on the exit and could use one for that.
Does Viking Voyager still have the 2 queue line system?
