I know I will be and the rest of the Community crew will be as well. I know that opening day will be very fun, full of excitement, and finally a long road of updates paying off.

I am trying to see if we may try and get an opportunity to meet everyone that post on here on opening day. So we will try and set up a time were we can all meet and meet face to face. Good time for a picture in front of Patriot huh? Anybody up for it?

Well you know I will be there but I am doing that MS Walk from like 8-11 so I will not get to open the park with you. But I do enjoy the MS Walk it is a great thing and it just fell on a bad day this year. So if we can meet any time after 12:00 that would be good.

Ben and I will be there too. We're going to get some grub at Falcon Diner at Station (er, I mean Ameristar) before we set out for WOF. Nothing like a belly full of omelet before a roller coaster

Now that sounds like a plan that I can wrap my gut around.

With everyone running like bats out of hell in front of us I'm sure that we'll have time to digest prior to riding Patriot.

I actually prefer the full stomach approach. We alway eat prior to a full day of roller coasting.

It sounds like the group that's going to be gathering at the Falcon Diner is growing.

I called and they do not take reservations but if we call ahead they can try and save a group of tables for us. I'll work on getting a total number of participants early next week.

Hey everyone,

My roommate and I have decided to make a trip down from northern Minnesota to WoF for opening day. It's been years since he's been there and I have never been, so we're looking forward to having an awesome time, and of course riding Patriot on opening day. It'd be cool to meet some fellow park/coaster nuts, so it would be cool if we could meet up with some of you guys and gals (if that's cool with you, of course).

Welcome aboard Spence. Alot of are going to be meeting up for breakfast at Falcon Diner at Ameristar Casino, which is just south of the park on 210 highway, I am not sure if there has been a definite time as to when, but I know that will be comming soon, and there is also alot of us going to meet at the sunken fountian, which is in from of the go cart(Grand Prix) at 2pm. You and your friend are more than welcome to join us anytime. Once again welcome aboard and we look forward to seeing you on the 8th

Breakfast is at 8am. Since the service usually sucks at the Falcon we figured that this would still give us plenty of time to get over to the park.

Awesome! We'll probably be pretty hungry after a night of driving. Are we still going to be able to make it to the park with time to get on Patriot (first public train if at all possible)?

We are planning on getting to the park between 9:30 and 9:45. Getting the first train will be really difficult but I don't think that breakfast will hold you back.

We'll be there! Just look for the 2 slightly bigger buys (I'm 6'2", 260lbs, but I can still pull an inch on Millenium Force

). We'll probably be wearing some sort of Minnesota/UM-Duluth apparel, and we'll be looking for you, though we have no idea what anybody looks like.

Any idea on what crowds are going to be like opening day? I see that there is a musical gathering that weekend...

The crowds are probably going to be a bit heavy at times and the weather is supposed to be perfect all weekend.

All 5 of these people are going to be there (Ben, Ron, Me, John (Mr White), & Josh).

We will be there, but I am thinking more and more that there is no way we will be able to get there by 2pm as it is close to a 3.5 - 4 hour drive from Branson to WOF.

I couldn't be happier with this coaster. I was expecting it to be maybe #6 or #7 on my top ten. It ended up taking 2nd place. Right behind Millennium Force. I had no idea that would happen.

I am glad to hear that Steel. I would say Patriot is My favorite Inverted Steel Coaster. I really enjoy this coaster, and with all the coverage Jason, and I and other have done on this this, makes me feel like a proud parent when I saw peoples reactions after they got of the ride giving each other high fives and just smiles from ear to ear.
