« on: Apr 3, 2006, 06:42 »
So how was opening weekend?  I've itchin' for some info.

How was everything running?  Did the park seem cleaner?  Did the nasty weather hit on Sunday?

I was planning on Sunday, but was in southern IL, all weekend and got caught by the storm coming back in the afternoon, so we were unable to make it.  Next Sunday will looking good for me to go.  Several comments are on SFSTL.net on their forum.  And MIG is posting his opening weekend comments and pics by tuesday.

It was just the better because storms had IL, a mess!  Trees down, power lines on the Highway, so I am glad we took our time getting back instead of being in the middle of it!

I'm glad that you're OK.

And since you're our resident expert on SFStL we'll wait for your opinion.  :sunny:

Ben was there Sunday morning and is uploading photos and videos this afternoon.

Nice pics Dustijn. We were there on Sunday and we thought the park was VERY clean. Every restroom I went into had someone cleaning it at all times. Nice to see such a hardworking staff. I agree, the planters and flowers were a nice touch, really made it feel like it's finally park season! And the Gotham Park que was really nice with the blooming trees, etc. Screamin Eagle's new paint job was pretty slick - you just have to imagine it looks that good on the last half of the ride too!
The crowds were very light on Sunday, only those of us crazy enough to ignore the weather man were there. It was actually sunny and nice for most of the afternoon. ALL the staff people were very nice and knowledgabe and helpful. I hope they're always that nice, even when the park is busy.
For our first visit to the park, it was fantastic, we'll definitley be back.  :toothy12:
