Six Flags Magic Mountain Trip Report

Sarah and I just made our first Trip to LA and with that came the obligatory trip to SFMM.  We had a blast check out the pics and read about it and let me know what you think.

I agree.  That's some high quality field work.  Our SFMM gallery was vomit inducing prior to his trip.

I love this shot. Perfection!

Our SFMM gallery was vomit inducing.

I know that feeling -- which is why I am so glad that we are going out to Cali here in a few days.  My California park galleries on MiG really pale in comparision to my recently updated galleries.  So excited and Ben's photos are making even more excited to go to Cali.  :D :D

X2 is a great deal of fun.  It was my first ride on it and I was expecting to be underwhelmed as it had been talked up A LOT.  But words just don't do this ride justice it is just awesome, Number one steel coaster on my list.

Ya know, I've heard two distinct opinions of this ride. Some say it sucks, others like you say it's spectacular, not a whole lot of people seem to settle in the middle.

It's unfortunate I don't think I'll ever make it out that way any time soon.

Good TR though and nice pics.

Well if your expecting it to be like any other coaster you have ridden then you'll be disapointed.
The thing is just totally unique and fun.

You know southwest has $150 roundtrip flights to lax, I am thinking of going back just for a quick day at the park!

Glad you guys liked the pics and things, though I can't take credit for all of them, Sarah is responsible for several of them.  She is way better at composing pics than I am.

I think the people that complain about X/X2 are the same people that complain about every wood coaster out there.  It's an aggressive ride and a lot of people don't like that.

you know you're probably right. too bad too.  From the way some of the locals were talking in line X had gotten pretty rough in its last year and X2 was a much needed improvement.

There is a very fine line between aggressive and painful.
