Live Entertainment
« on: Jun 28, 2010, 02:11 »
I don't usually catch the live entertainment when I visit a park but I'm wondering if I've been missing out???

I was up at WoF on Sunday taking some photos of the new show in Tivoli and it was pretty damn entertaining, not to mention air conditioned.  There are some extremely talented people performing in that show.

Do we have any regular show watchers on here?  What are some other one's that I should check out?

The Tivoli show is always well done.
The Moulin Rouge tends to be a hit and miss

I guess it's new this year as well.  I'll be checking it out in a couple of weeks.

Within the Midwest I guess we could also talk about SDC's shows.  I've only seen the Magic Show, Chinese acrobats and the Christmas Carol.  The Christmas one has to be about as good as it gets with regards to theme park shows.  The acrobats out in Branson were slightly better and the Magic Show was entertaining as well.

Most of the shows @ WOF are usually pretty good. The Dog Show at Canine Crossing is my Favorite!

^^Speaking of SDC shows -- the main show they have in the Opera House during the Harvest Festival (Headin' West) rates right up there with the Christmas Carol they show during Christmas.

I have heard good things about the Tivoli show, mostly becuase its so different from all the other Tivoli shows. I hear its pretty rock based.

I typically avoid live entertainment unless I am at Disney, Universal, or one of Busch Parks.  At those parks I feel like that is a major part of the admission price.  Especially at Sea World.  Half of my last trip was live shows.  Overall though, it's just not really my thing.  I don't like to watch live plays or musicals either.
