Wasn't it rainy last night?  At least it was on the south side of town.

It sprinkled off and on all night. Never really amounted to anything.

Did a side trip to WoF on Saturday. Much better than last week. Most of the complaints I had, on the previous page, of last week were fixed. The only one I didn't see fixed was Overlords ceremony since I skipped it.

Went through all of the haunts in under three hours despite the crowd. All of the actors were phenomenal! Couldn't ask more out of them. They were definitely giving it all they had. Speaking of actors, anyone know where the toxic waste man is? Haven't seen him the past two times I've been there.

On a side note Cornstalkers is now my new number one haunt. Asylum used to hold that spot for years. Not that the actors were bad, they were great,  it just seems to be the same year after year. Maybe an upgrade for next season would do it some good. To throw ideas out there upgrade it to Lockdown which is over at Knotts or Fury over at Carowinds.

Good to hear.  I definitely want to see Cornstalkers, Doll Factory, and London Terror.  I don't have any grand expectations for any of them so hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised :)  It has been a few years since my visit so saying Cornstalkers is better than Asylum is pretty high praise since that was my favorite on my last visit.

I went Friday night and had a blast.  The park was pretty empty so the longest line was Mamba.  I really like what they did with London Terror.  It's not the scariest but it was cool to walk through and it's the only thing besides Prowler that we did twice.  Blood Shed might have been our favorite with Corn Stalkers being 2nd (based on scares).  I think that they tightened up the corn lined paths, which added to my interest level.  Dolls had a lot of standing around as usual.  They could have scared the crap out of us a couple of times.  Lore seemed pretty empty but that's another one that I just enjoy walking through.

We're going again this Saturday night.  Huge crew of us.  Plan on using the Fright Lane pass just to see how it is and if it is worth the expense so I can write a review of it for MiG.  Should be a lot of fun.  I think we have at least 6 people going.

We're heading up in a couple more weeks with a posse of 10, possibly 12. Hoping the crowds won't be too bad, but we bought Fright passes already just in case.

Dolls had a lot of standing around as usual.  They could have scared the crap out of us a couple of times.

This seems to be a complaint year after year.  Is this because of the theme, lack of direction, employee apathy, or a combination the three? Considering how much was spent on it I would think they would want it to be one of the premier attractions.

It's not a lack of direction.  They're probably doing exactly what they've been told to do.  When I worked Haunt there was an emphasis on "acting", which is understandable since their trying to tell a story in most of the houses.

It's not exactly my cup of tea but I still dig walking through there.

There will be 4 of us.  (me, Derrijk, Hilary and Jesse) how many are your bringing?
We'll get the Fright Lane passes there that night.

Good, because most haunts only allow (at most) 6 to go through at a time.

I get the vibe that Dollhouse is meant to get more of a creepy/weird factor than a downright frightening one.

^^Yep.  Doll Factory, Club Blood most of London Terror, and I'd even throw BloodShed, are supposed to be more about creepy/weird.

^at 10pm last night I was told there were around 19K there - but the main thing was that there were no large planned tours there that day (read major discounted groups).  It also looked a lot busier with people parking in front of Patriot and on the grass because OoF was taken up by Ford as was the lower lot of K.

They used the grass to the North of the main parking area too for parking! It was crazy busy. I am pretty glad we bought the Fast Pass! This was my first Haunt at WOF and I really enjoyed it!

Tony and Dustijn,

Either of you think you will be able to make it back to WoF this season for some more Haunt?

Just wondering if I might see you guys out there again in 2011.  We weren't able to make it on Saturday, but we went on Sunday.

I'm probably done for the season.  If I do go it would be the last weekend on a "spur of the moment" trip

We kind of figured the crowds would pick up the closer it got to Halloween. In years past, we always tried to get up there the last weekend of Sept., or the first weekend of Oct. as the crowds never seems to be that bad, especially on Friday night. Unfortunately, some of our friends weren't able to make it either of those weekends, so we had to settle for this upcoming weekend. Looking to have a good time, even though I am in a f'n wheel chair this go around.

I was up there last night and Doll House was completely different.  They were combining the creepy with some good scares.

The midget wrestling was better than I thought it was going to be.
