I wanted that poster.

I guess I cannot complain too much as I have the "calendar poster" for the year Mamba opened already.

Look -- at least you got recognized there at the lunch as helping promote the event. (even though it was me who has been driving people crazy on the various message boards reminding them to pre-register and so on).  I guess I did get interviewed by Fox 4 though, so whatever. :)

Two days in a row that I got interviewed.  They got me at SFStL as well.  No idea what station that was though.

i am super happy with my vintage park map.  That sucker is going in a double sided frame.

It looks and sounds like it was a good time.

The yeti sightings seem to be getting out of hand down there. arsehole :laughing4:

Yes I am almost afraid to go to the park anymore as everytime I do I see a Yeti atleast once and then he usually makes me follow him around the park.  Though I have a lot of fun with our little group of friends when we get together at WOF.  I also think that it will be a lot of fun going to Pres. Con. as a group as well.

Now that the yeti as seen the Patriot line move as fast as it does it will be more likely to visit again.  Weeknights are of course more probably though.

So beware! arsehole

As for the preservation conference we would love to hang out with you again.  We currently have 6 people in the group total and 2 others may join in.  Have you booked your rooms yet?  We had to get a hotel that is 30 miles away from Arnolds Park because we couldn't find anything close by.  We also went with the ACE discount option for Valleyfair at the Holiday Inn.  We plan on hitting Adventureland on Thursday during the drive up.

^Yes, August and Lake Okoboji don't mix well when hotels come up.

I'd meet up, but I'm hanging out with some CoasterCon 28 friends. We might do Adventureland at some point.

Remember, Como Town is getting yet another new coaster (glad I rode the old Orient Express last season). It's basically just an Orient Express with an extra helix. To be named "Screaming Dragon." I smell a credit.

We'll likely skip Como Town and just hang out in Minneapolis that afternoon.

We've never really pushed hard to get additional credits and I still don't have a single kiddie coaster on the list.  We've also skipped a handful of Boomerang coasters.  We tried to put some effort into making Patriot #100 but that didn't work out and we're still stuck at 99.  Something at SFGAdv is going to be #100 and I have my eyes on Nitro or if we're super lucky El Toro.

If you've not been to Como Town since it was remodeled, it's well worth it now. It's actually heartwarming.
Try out DropZone if you go. It's a kiddie drop tower, but it packs a gigantic punch.
