Celebration City Schedule???
« on: Feb 19, 2006, 07:59 »
I was just checking out the CC operating schedule and was surprised to learn that the park doesn't even open until May.

I'm I seeing things or is this for real. :help:

It is for real.  They alternate which of the two parks will be open for Spring Break.  This year it is SDC's turn.  In the past CC has been open way before SDC.

Do they not have enough staff, or guest to open both at the same time? I have not been to either park yet, so was curious.

Yes.  Staffing is a major problem.  That and the fact that Branson really does not get going until May.  We are still in the "Hot Winter Fun" time and if you were to drive through town you would actually see hotels that have signs on their marquees saying closed until a certain date.

If you go to SDC the first few weekends you will find a very sparse crowd (and walk-ons).  The exception being young christian's weekend which is crazy as they have concerts in Echo Hollow and so on.

Speaking of which, we (Missy and I) are going to SDC on opening day March 16th -- do you and Janessa want to meet up with us?

We're looking a pretty busy March.  I'm merging my company with another one and there's a bunch of compliance BS that we have to settle before we can start making money again. :coffee:

I also don't want to go back to Branson until CC is open.  I feel like I'm neglecting the little feller. :smileinbox:

Dustijn,
Your next post moves you up from Newbie status to "Moving up in the World".  Below is a list of CC achievements.  You're in 2nd place BTW.

Newbie                          *
Moving up in the World    **      50
A CC Regular                ***      100
All Knowing                 ****    250
CC Expert                 *****  500

I can change these at any time so if anyone can think of titles that are even more pompous we'll go with them.

Like Jason wanting to ride the coasters at All Stars, I'm padding my count with this post.  :icon_tongue:

I see how it is... you just don't want to go to SDC with us.  :crybaby2:   I completely understand about wanting to wait for CC to open though, but as Missy and I are ALL-CITY AP holders, we can go anytime.

OH LOOK!  A STATUS CHANGE  :notworthy:  :notworthy:  :notworthy:

You're moving up in the world.  :occasion14:

It's to bad that my All Stars plan backfired.  Now I'm going to have to ride those coasters just for the fun of it. :fart:

I still say you should go to SDC and ride the new kiddie coaster so that you can pad your count and make patriot your 100   :director:

Ya I tried finding him a few coaster near by here and the closest I can see is in IL. Hey Jason I could make a trip down to SDC, and bring my son, a total pad for the big 100 ride. :occasion14:

Well you have one in SDC, one in Olathe, and I thought you were gonna have a chance to hit up an other ride before Patriot? Hey I am willing to help, and my son is SOOOOOOOO ready to ride a coaster. I think at time he is more ready than I am.

I can't think of what the 3rd coaster would be.

And with March being a busy month I won't be able to get away for a weekend. :sad11:

Are you for real? Where at in Osage Beach? And when? That would totally add to the lake weekend experience for me.
