I'm with you, I'd rather have an Xtreme Swing. But if we do get a Frisbee, I'd rather have a smaller one.

I havent rode a Xtreme Swing yet, this summer I will at SDC. Why have a smaller one? Do they give better air time than the big ones?

In my experience, yeah. I always have more fun on Sidewinder at Adventureland than maXair.
But the giant ones are still a lot of fun. I don't know. I'll take anything.

You know if they were to put a swing or anything in that area it would have a real fun affect to the ride. Most of the area behind that is a ravine and hardly any level ground, would be an interesting Site. I know talking with Nick a few years ago alot of drainage work was done behind Roos due to erosion. So would give a really cool affect for a swing.

In all honesty, it's too bad Spinning Dragons couldn't have been put in Europa where Autobahn is.  That coaster would have fit in well in that area.... and then they could have used the Orient lot for expansion.  It's a little hard to get to now.

The maXair types are pretty expensive and seem like a better fit for larger parks.  WoF would rarely fill all of the seats.

I too prefer maXair to the Screamin' Swings but if WoF got something like that it would definitely be a smaller model.

A MaXair/Delirium style would be out of this world; there is nothing like being "upside-down" 180ft in the air. I would really hope that Worlds of Fun would save up for a full-size model, but then again, they could probably build a new roller coaster for the same price. MaXair terrifies me at night, when the ground seems so much further away than it is, and being right on the midway, the tiny little people below don't help things at all.

I still think a nice little family terrain coaster, that ducks into the woods near autobahn, would be a nice addition to the center of the park. Keeping in line with Prowler, try and keep as many trees as possible!

^ I doubt it would be a S&S launching coaster since they are not that popular, it'll be more than likely a Intamin launcher hopefully one that does inversion's. Oh and how much are those Huss XL Frisbee's anyways?

For a Giant Frisbee 55 $5-6 million, depending on what steel prices are at. You also have to consider the cost to operate it. It contains a 700kW motor, which would probably be one of the most power demanding things in the park. I don't know what Nile's pump's consume.

Although if we got the Giant Frisbee (smaller) we could save on cost, and not have to sacrifice too much of the capacity.

According to whom?

S&S is building two new coasters for 2010.

maXair was $7.5 million 5 years ago.  I agree with it being an awesome experience at night.  Probably one of my favorite flat rides.  I just don't see a park the size of WoF installing an $8 million flat ride that has that much capacity.

Why did maXair cost $3 million more than Delirium? Maybe it needed that deep of a foundation. The space spiral at CP has a 30 foot deep footing, so maybe maXair needed to go down deep to? I don't know about $3 million dollars in concrete and rebar though...

I always joked with my friends that if I won a big enough lottery I would pay for them to tear down Tivoli and put in a B&M flyer named Valkyrie :D

According to whom?

No one, I was saying that myself. I was just thinking that there are not that many award winning S&S launchers out there towards Intamin launchers. Of course S&S launcher will probably be more safe since Intamin launchers has a history of spraying guest with flying debri upon take off :tard:

On the new blog Brandon says,
"You've made it through the sort of quiet part...we'll really start cranking out the goods soon enough, including a new special events that I think you'll like."

Im going to assume that means the Starlight trails is coming to wof?

That would make sense and the bumper car building would be a good place to store floats and another junk during the day.  I would think that they would have to come up with a new name though.

The one at CP had scenes that they rolled out.  Float is probably the wrong word.

On the blog someone asked about the Autobahn building and Brandon replied with,
"We probably won't use a ton of the Autobahn building for project number one but project number two will take up a good chunk of it."

Maybe storage for project number one, new ride for project number two?  :dunno:

Look at what has been added to basically every park in the chain and compare that to what we do not currently have and you'll probably get a pretty good idea.  Unless they throw us a curve ball and do something completely unique

well cornstalkers is an outdoor haunt and most of the other ones we already have, there was one from knotts that would fit into the europe theme its called The Labyrinth heres the description: Take a journey through a forgotten forest, into the dark catacombs that lie beneath a ruined castle. The evil king has long since passed on but his cursed court still haunts the halls of the mysterious labyrinth. Don’t lose your way as you twist and turn through chambers unknown and vainly try to escape the menagerie of mythical monsters that roam the never-ending corridors.

I would like to see clowns go back inside.  They can do the out door carny stuff in front of the building.  The dunk tank was the best part of the current set up.
