I see Mizzou getting ranked this week with the Nevada win. With Miami and Cal losing and LSU just barely holding on the rankings are going to change big time. I see a few new teams headed to the top 25 this coming week. Cant wait to see the polls when they come out.

Well once again the AP don't have a clue.  Not ranked on the AP, but ranked still on the Coaches' Poll

I don't think that win was good enough to deserve a ranking.

MU looked utterly terrible, Nevada handed MU that game.  The way Nevada ran through MU's defense really worries me about their chances against Nebraska.  Nebraska will not make the stupid mental errors that Nevada made and if Gabbert throws up those jump balls off the back of his heals to the Huskers it will get real ugly for the Tigers.

Nevada handed MU that game.

You don't think Mizzou had a hand in Nevada's meltdown?

^Yea that was a terribly disapointing loss for NU.

^^MU did very little right in that game except win.  If MU plays like that against any of the Big 12 teams they have like an 80% chance of losing.

The north is getting harder and harder to predict.  I really thought that it would be MU and KU in the end but both defenses have shown major weaknesses.

It will probably be a 3 way race with Nebraska.

The shame of it is, it doesn't really matter who wins the North cause the South will almost definetly prevail.

McCoy and Bradford graduate after this year as does OSU's team.
Unless you're predicting Baylor to become a force, after this year the South will be "rebuilding"

The thing about MU's team is that they are shaky and playing like young players, because THEY ARE young players.  Shoot most of the team is Sophomores and Juniors with a few Seniors sprinkled here and there.  The only person on the team that has no excuse for how pathetic he is playing is D. Washington.  If MU wants to be a force this year, he's going to have to grow some balls and actually run the ball UP the field and not across or backwards.

I just want to be clear.

I think MU is in line for one fo the BEST "rebuilding" years in school history.  I just got a little worried by some of the things I saw in the Nevada game.  They have a lot of work to do.

What a great game was that Miami-Oklahoma game! Miami pulled it off in the end and I was so happy to see that.

It is going to be a wet game.  They are expecting 2" of rain in less than an hour.  I guess I should plan on bringing my shampoo and soap so I can take my weekly shower for free :)

Talk about gift wrapping the game and giving it away.  sheesh.

Good game Huskers, you definitely deserved the "W" after those two turnovers.
Wish your fans were a little more classy, but it has been over 2 years since they've beaten Missouri and almost 8 years since you won in Columbia (2001).

Sure wish Missouri could have put together 4 quarters.  They looked good the first 3 and then fell apart.  I realize that Blaine was playing hurt, but that's no excuse for poor decisions with his passing.

I don't know what to say. Huskers did good in the 3rd with 2 touchdowns in 58 seconds according to ESPN. The offense pulled it together and the defense did a good job in the 2nd half so hats off to Nebraska. Now I'm hoping Mizzou can pull it together and beat Kansas this year!

No way. No gift-wrapping. Missouri scored 12 points and seven of those were questionable on the touchdown before the half. Over double the score is not gift wrapping imo.

You could easily say with Nebraska's horrible special teams play that gave Mizzou plenty of chances it was gift wrapped the other way. I just hate that description, players make plays. Games aren't given, ESPECIALLY when the stats are in Nebraskas favor. Saying they gave it away makes NO sense in my opinion.

Even when it was 12 - 0 or whatever it was I didn't feel like Mizzou was in control. Nebraska manhandled Mizzou's line and in my opinion that is where the game was lost. The Tigers only had 90 yards rushing and about 35 of that was on the last play of the game.

I also disagree with the classy stuff. You can't label thousands of people as one thing. There are plenty of times I'm walking out of a sports stadium and some idiots are doing something stupid. Is that a representation of a school? No way.

I was surprised at how much both teams were throwing the ball in the conditions.

Also, did anyone notice they cut to a guy wearing a Halloween Haunt jacket? I saw it on Sportscenter too, right before the second to last touchdown. :)

Swoosh knows they aren't all that way. That or he just puts up with me HaHa! I felt in the first half both teams looked horrible but Mizzou made less mistakes and the score reflected that. Third Quarter was a throw away quarter for both teams and in the 4th quarter Nebraska's Defense who were playing incredible the whole game despite what the scoreboard said, stepped it up another notch.

Gabert being hurt definitely did not help but if it were truly hurting him that bad I doubt he would of kept it on the Zone Read at the end of the first half for the touchdown. I respect him for still getting out there and trying to make plays but his head was not in that final quarter at all. He threw 2 picks and had 3 more that should have been had NU's D not been sleeping.

No giving up that many points in one quarter is most definitely gift-wrapping.  There was no excuse for the 2 picks (and it should have been 3 more).  Forcing passes when the game was well in hand going into the 4th - honestly NU's offense had been puttering the entire evening - is just unexcusable.  They should have just run the ball and ate clock.  There was no need to throw the ball.

Ken about the fans, just agree to disagree and no not all NU fans are class-less, case-in-point Tony.  You were not at the game last night so please do not act like you have any idea what you are talking about.  Like I said, agree to disagree and move on.

Bring on the Cowboys.  With Dez out and several of OSU's key players out we have a better chance at winning in Stillwater than I previously hoped for.  MU needs a good win next week to get the right momentum going into HC vs Texas the following weekend.

I don't think Mizzou could have ran the ball and ate clock. Not against that defense. Thats why Mizzou didn't line up in the I formation and do just that, they had to line up with weird formations and run six or seven yards for a gain of one. Lots of handoffs and misdirections in order to keep Sue out of the backfield.

But, I don't think the Tigers had any shot to line up and run out the clock. Nebraska looked like the better team and to say Mizzou gift wrapped it isn't giving credit to NU.

Hopefully the Tigers can go get a win but I'm fearful they can be 0-3 in the conference and then need to win 5 straight to even have a shot of the north title.

Whatever you saw, you are labeling fans classless and thats lame.

Oh Tony, it's not your fault and honestly when you get that much alcohol in some fans what do expect.  Seriously in all honesty they had every right to be as enthusiastic as they were about the win.  They hadn't beat Missouri in 2 years and they got embarrassed in both of those losses AND on top of that they came from behind in the 4th quarter to win.  They were just excited and drunk and that's never a good combination.

The season is far from over, I wish some Mizzou fans would realize that.  Was the loss disappointing, you bet, but guess what the sun came up this morning and we never saw it the entire day on Thursday (**** rain and lousy weather). lol

ken, just shut up, seriously.
