No, I don't think I would, Jason and here is why.

1. Missouri stands to make more money in the next 5 years then Nebraska from the new agreement that the Big XII is making

2. The old rivalries would still be in check

3. Missouri, like Nebraska, would be in the middle of the pack in the Big Ten in football.  In the Big XII it stands to reason it should be one of the top 3-4.

4. With the elimination of the B12CG in FB there is now no reason that KU can do some backyard swindling to jump into a BCS game when the toughest team they played all season, THEY LOST TO.

5. Big Ten will be MUCH TOUGHER for Nebraska in the "other sports" -- ie Volleyball, Gymnastics, Wrestling -- the sports that NU actually WINS conference championships in.

===

Is that enough reasons or do you need more, Jason?

I don't feel Nebraska would fall middle of the pack in the B10 in Football. Volleyball so they play Penn State every year so what. Gymnastics who cares? Wrestling they will get owned in! Basketball stands no chance in the B10. Baseball can only stand to look better because B10 is not terribly strong Baseball Conference. However this whole thing is about football because realistically Football is what pays the bills and Nebraska can easily be in the top 3 or 4 in Football.

^I'm just going off of what TO said in his "**** YOU Big XII Farewell Speech" -- he commented on how volleyball, gymnastics, swimming, and wrestling would now have competition as opposed to in the Big XII.  Those were the sports that Nebraska was constantly winning conference titles in.

I hope you are right about NU in football in B10, because I can now root for them once they are full athletic members of B10.

Yea I remember that. Ohio St. Penn St. and Iowa as of right now would be the only ones I would be concerned about in Football. The Badgers from what I hear aren't bad either, but I just have not seen much from them. I am super excited. It only makes sense that we would not make as much for 5 years got to pay dues, but when that is up we will make as much as any other team in the league. That was what UN was upset about. I thought it was funny yesterday during the Texas Presser they were saying they were 100% committed to the B12, even though well they were trying to get UN to stay they themselves were talking to 3 different Conferences about leaving the B12 at the same exact time. That is what made UN decide that the B12 was not stable and that they did not want to be left out in the cold if it did implode. Also find it funny that during their presser yesterday that UT was so committed to the B12 the conference they have been in for 16 years that they some how forgot it's name 3 times HaHa!

I hope things work out for everyone in the B12 except UT! I am so excited to move to the B10.

^I think it was a case of "what the hell are we calling this conference now since Big XII has 10 teams and BIG TEN has 12 teams"

Oh and for the record, the conference is going to be named Big XII, but I was sure pulling for CONFERENCE X.

Oh ****.  This (BigXII Lite) is NOT OVER after all.
http://tamu.scout.com/2/978071.html

A&M might still pull the life support plug on all of this.

"All eyes are on Saturday’s (donor) meeting and whether a face-to-face meeting with angry donors will sway Monday‘s decision (on whether or not A&M signs on for the new Big XII Lite)."

Old bump!  I pulled this from a football board that I follow.

More rumors but an ESPN TV deal would probably be pretty good for the Big 12.  KU going to the Big East would suck for travel but probably be the best thing for them long term.

I would love an ESPN deal. Calling our current deal crappy would be an understatement. There is no reason in this day and age to not have every game televised. If the conference could get something similar to the Big 10 network started, that would kick ass.

I can't envision KU leaving right now. Not having an AD in place is an obvious reason. KU is probably talking to them since it would be stupid not to have a backup plan in case anything like this summer happens again. But it seems like this iteration of the Big 12, despite what just happened, is relatively stable, as long as Texas keeps getting the share of the pie they think they deserve.

TAMU and MU seem to be getting rather restless again.  I wouldn't be too surprised to see the names of those two universities come up in conference realignment talks here again soon.

TAMU is very upset that UT is getting such a large slice of the pie and they think UT is trying to move their hand for them... that never sets well with TAMU.
