Wow.  Maybe Iowa State won't be in the cellar this year after all -- Colorado is sure making a case for itself in being the worst team in the Big XII this year.  0-2 after 2 games already?  Ouch.

Man Bowling Green put up a good fight against Mizzou. I figured that would be a blowout or something. Also who wouldve guessed my hometown team of Toledo would beat up on Colorado that bad.

Have you seen Colorado play this year they could be the Detroit Lions off NCAA!!!

Mizzou surprised me that they had to win it in the last quarter. It is only week 2 though they will improve.

I also rhink Rice could beat OKST!

That true freshman QB at USC Got it done late at the Horseshoe

HAHA!!! Good Luck CU Fans! Remainder if their season they only have 2 more possible wins and at this rate not sure that will happen. They are lucky they play Iowa State and Kansas State. If you want to be generous they play Wyoming next but I don't think there is anyway they will beat them!

Man Bowling Green put up a good fight against Mizzou.

Why?  Bowling Green has always been the "giant killer" of BCS schools.  They're not a "creme puff" school by any means, which is why you won't see half of the Big XII school schedule them as a non-conference game (yeah hi Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma)

Oh I know how good BGSU is. I use to live in Ohio and Bowling Green always put a good fight in against any team so I know they know how to fight but I just didnt expect there Defense to do so good against Mizzou's offense.

Oh come on, you yourself said Mizzou 'should have no problems' with Bowling Green. Mizzou played terrible for three quarters and pulled it out like a better team should. But lets not act like Bowling Green is Big 12 caliber.

I didn't know that part. I did not get to see the game because most Mizzou games are not played in Florida. So I didn't know they played bad against BG.

I wasn't talking about you, sorry about that. Swoosh had said there would be no problems. :)

They were down 14 and then turned it on.

I like Mizzou, but I'm trying to be grounded and realistic as a fan.

To me the Bowling Green game was an obvious trap game for Mizzou.  With Mizzou coming off of a huge win against Illinois and it being one of the biggest games of the year for Bowling Green, it is easy to see how the MU started off really weak and BG was ready to go.

It also doesn't hurt to mention that Pinkel was something like 0-3 v BG at Mizzou.

The next two games for Mizzou should be cake walks.  After the near scare last week I am ready to see some games that "gimme wins" -- no sense in letting the rest of the conference have all the fun eating pastries.

I'm ready for the Texas vs. Texas Tech game! Last year was a great game with a huge upset at the end. I want the Red Raiders to pull an upset again this year!

I hate all things Texas so this game will not be watched by me.  The Best case scenario for me would be a tie.  Ties=two losers.

Mizzou beat up on Furman like expected so I'm happy about that. Miami won big over Georgia Tech, I'm extremely excited about that. Except Georgia is losing to Arkansas right now so not to happy about that. Overall this has been a good day for college football. Especially seeing how USC went down to Washington, now if we can see Texas loose to.....

Attendance for today's Mizzou game 61,141 - which is more than any other stadium (other than Nebraska's) can hold in the North Division -- and this was for FURMAN a FCS team.

M-I-Z!!!

Well, it was a lot less "exciting" then the previous week.
I honestly did not get to watch much of it as I was busy tending to my band since it was "Band Day"

When do the real games start?  I'm ready for some conference play.

I'm also hoping for another KU/MU fight for the North at Arrowhead.

1-2 more weeks of "meh" games and then the conference starts off with a bang at Columbia on a Thursday night.
The 'ZOU is going to be packed with gold.  The game is nearing a sell-out already.

Sucks I can't go to the 'ZOU for that game. A sell out crowd would be fun to be apart of!

You could come to a Nebraska game where every game for the last 300 games has been sold out!

Well technically all of the reserved seats are sold out, it's just that we do GA on the hillside so we have a more "fluid" number of seats available whereas Nebraska has a solid number of seats available.  Personally I find it great that NU can support their team like they do, granted there is nothing else to do in Nebraska, but good for them.

I still find it amazing that the attendance for Mizzou's games so far have been higher than the number of seats available at the stadiums for ISU, KU, KSU and CU.  :)

Here are the "official" capacity numbers for the Big XII

50000 - Baylor's Floyd Casey Stadium
50071 - Kansas's Memorial Stadium
52200 - Kansas State's Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium
53750 - Colorado's Folsom Field
55000 - Iowa State's Jack Trice Stadium
53000 - Texas Tech's Jones AT&T Stadium
60000 - Oklahoma State's Boone Pickens Stadium
68349 - Missouri's Faurot Field
82112 - Oklahoma's Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium
83002 - Texas A&M's Kyle Field
85500 - Nebraska's Memorial Stadium
100119 - Texas's Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium

------------

Anyone else surprised that Mizzou has the 5th largest stadium in the Big XII?
