Lets go Mizzouri and Georgia! I'm hoping the 'Dawgs take down the Cowboys today.

Sure why not. BYU looks to be good this year and I don't know a thing on Northern Colorado though.
Watching the Georgia game now and looks like it's gonna be a good year for Georgia dispite losing Matthew Stafford. The offense looks great and the opening drive was a good one. It's got me anxious for the Mizzou game now. I'm curious to see how the Tigers will do without Daniels in control of the offense.

I think it's safe to say that the Mizzou game is over. Mizzou has this one won! Glad to see we opened the season strong.

I wish I could say the same about Georgia......trailing 10-17 to Oklahoma State in the 4th and we just fumbled.

Wow.  Bradford hurt and Choke-lahoma loses to BYU.
Sad when one of the two teams from the conference that is picked to be a national contender is the only team from the conference who can't win their opener of the season.

Perhaps they should take a page from Nebraska and kansas's books and schedule a cupcake opener.

By the way, OU is on a 2-game losing streak. :D

MU, OKST, and Baylor are the only ones who did not schedule Cupcakes for openers! When OKLA scheduled BYU 4 or 5 years ago they didn't expect them to be ranked 20th and be an up and coming team.

I'm going with CSU over Colorado in this one. The Rams have some good talent. I'm very dissappointed in the 'Dawgs though. Losing to Oklahoma State like that makes the rest of the SEC laugh. If they wanna beat rivals Florida, Auburn, and Georgia Tech they'll definetly have to pull it together in practices.

Another game to watch for is the Miami vs. Florida State game. Miami may be hurt because of the loss of two QB's but I see them putting up a good fight on the defensive side. They got some very nice recruits in this year especially in the Safety position and DE position. The two there helped lead our school to a state title and won!

I would consider CSU a cupcake school. What teams do they play on a Yearly basis?

Ok Check that they actually play a pretty tough schedule. No Big 12, SEC, or ACC. But their Conference is stronger then the Big East according to a lot of the talking Heads.

9-6-09     at Colorado (Sun.)
9-12-09    WEBER STATE
9-19-09    NEVADA
9-26-09    at Brigham Young
10-3-09    at Idaho
10-10-09    UTAH
10-17-09    at TCU
10-24-09    SAN DIEGO STATE
10-31-09    AIR FORCE
11-7-09    at UNLV
11-21-09    at New Mexico
11-27-09    WYOMING (Fri.)

Another great season is coming I can just feel it. Let's hope Mizzou can get back into the rankings and beat Kansas this year. That would be nice to see.

Bleh. Illinois is terrible, as is the rest of the Big Ten.

Let's hope all the local teams do well but college football doesn't really do it for me. I just hate the mentality that if you lose you are done and you get to play in some meaningless bowl game. Or, some schools won't lose and they still don't get to play because they aren't Florida, Oklahoma, etc...

So then you have these teams that are good but you always wonder what the outcome would be in a playoff. Man it would be amazing and the other divisions have it right.

We'll see how Wisconsin plays against Michigan. I watched the Michigan game and they seem to be decent this year so I'm curious to see how Wisconsin plays against Michigan.

Awesome Mizzou is back in the polls this year. With a win over Bowling Green which should be fairly easy I see them going into the top 20 even? Or at least up a spot or two.

Depends on who loses above us.

1. FLA will beat Troy
2. TX will beat WY
3. USC will beat OSU (which will fall, but still be ahead of us)
4. BAMA will beat FAU
5. OKST should beat Houston
6. MISS is idle
7. PSU will beat Syracuse
8. OSU will lose to USC (3)
9. BYU will beat Tulane
10. CAL will beat E.WASH
11. LSU will beat VANDY
12. MIAMI(OH) could give BOISE fits
13. OU will win over Idaho State regardless
14. VT will beat MARSH
15. GT is idle
16. TCU will beat UVA
17. UTAH will beat SJST
18. ND and MICH is a toss up (if ND loses, they'll drop)
19. NC will have no problem with UCONN
20. MIAMI (FL) is idle
21. The C.OCKS might give UGA some fits, but UGA should win
22. Nebraska plays a creme puff, moving on
23. CINN plays SEMO.  No one cares.
24. UTEP might give kU some fits.  We'll see.
25. MIZZ should have no problems with BG

"Now be gone, before someone drops a house on you too".

Am I supposed to know what that quote is from? I was just talking about football, so this would seem like the appropriate thread for it to be in. I'm not saying I don't pay attention, I was just meandering around the point that I would love a playoff. Every other sport and division does it. It would be much better for a team like Mizzou, it would give them a shot of making some noise.

Anyway, I am goin to go try and figure out your qoute.

Um, it's from the Wizard of Oz.  I knew you were dense, but really?

Yes this is a thread for discussing football, but your post pretty much made it sound like football did not do it for you, so I figured you were done discussing.  I guess I was wrong.

If you would meander less we might know what the hell you are wanting to say, just saying.

I find it kind of funny how a MU fan keeps ripping on the big ten, despite MU going to overtime against one last year.  That being said MU appears to have settled alot of the questions coming into the season, expect a 8-4 record and a decent bowl game for them.

^You meant 9-3 right?  With the losses being to Texas, OSU and then Texas again in the Big XII Championship, right?

I'll continue to rip on the little 10 until they prove that they have anything.  OSU barely beat Navy.  Iowa about got beat by UNI.  Illy-noise was pathetic.  What does the conference have to brag about?  Sure N'western caused Mizzou to win the game in overtime at the Alamo Bowl, but this is a whole different club this year.
