Cedar Point Announces 2010 Water Ride
« on: Sep 3, 2009, 07:04 »
Cedar Point has just announced that for the 2010 season, they will be getting: "Shoot the Rapids", a family water adventure that will contain two drops, as well as rock formations. The ride will be located along the Frontier Trail and go onto Millenium Island as well. Shoot the Rapids is designed and manufactured by IntaRide. See the ride animation Link.

looks like a good addition.  I'll probably avoid it because I'm not much of a water ride fan but families will eat it up.

Ya looks fun, but Alot of people seem to dislike this. O well, i think people thought the other two parks were getting a coaster, and thought they would also. To be real honest with you, in 2011 I would not be surprised if they added a good coaster amd other cedar Fair parks will get other great coasters too. But I agree with Jason I may ride it once, but not a big water ride fan.

The reason I like log flumes is that you typically don't get soaked. I don't mind a little splash here and there, but I hope this ride doesn't drench you (like ValleyFair's flume). Could be fun, we'll see how the theming goes.

Looks like fun... If I hada poncho on! But outside of that it's a cool little ride and was something they were missing.

I think it makes to be a great addition at CP.  I think it will be cool to see a MF train fly by as your moving to the next lift hill!  Now we can get to see another side of MF.  It will definetly be something I try once.

I'm not much of a water ride fan, but those 2 drops look fun.

Well I can once again skip CP for another year.  Nothing that will get me back to CP anytime soon.

Nah.  They even went and screwed that up at Mania with their new "limited ERT" schedule.
More like "Extended Line Time" now. :/
