    • COASTER WORLD NEWS IS NOW ON WAVY 10'S VIDEO SECTION
It has been reported on Busch Gardens Adventure Zone that Busch Gardens Europe has won the approval, including the height waiver, for a new coaster, which is to be located in the New France section of the park. If you will recall, back in March, a balloon test was conducted around 210 feet in the air at BGE, and several meetings were conducted to see about winning the approval for the new attraction. Now that the ride has reportedly been given the green light, construction will obviously be able to move forward, however, it is not etched in stone as to whether this will be for 2007 or 2008. Diane Centeno, the public relations manager for Busch Gardens Europe, Water Country U.S.A., and Kingsmill Resort and Spa, is on vacation, and will be returning Monday, and by that time, I will get all the official details from her, so stay tuned as more news on the park's new attraction continue to come in. DETAILS. By the way, here are the pictures that shows the balloon testing, and can be found on the James City County website: PICTURES.

A new coaster anywhere in the country is a good thing.  Especially when SF keeps talking about how bad of an investment they are.

I agree and I hope that the possible lack of coasters coming out of the SF chain doesn't slow down the competition.

I guess that it could have an effect on pricing.  Less demand may decrease the costs.

While coasters are great, let's keep in mind as well that lack of big coasters isn't always a bad thing. In fact, it can make it even better if there is some time that passes before a big one is put in somewheres. Builds up the anticipation that much more, generating more interest :)

Gotta build stuff for families too. I should know. My 3rd child is on the way  headbang
