    • COASTER WORLD NEWS IS NOW ON WAVY 10'S VIDEO SECTION
Breaking news- WKMG out of Orlando, Florida, is reporting that another person has died on the Mission Space attraction down at Epcot Center in Orlando Florida! According to the report, a 49-year-old woman was riding the attraction on Tuesday, when she became very ill, and was then transported to Celebration City Hospital, where she died on Wednesday, as a result of her condition worsening. The Mission: Space attraction has been closed at this time, while The state Bureau of Fair Rides Inspection organization comes to inspect the attraction. The womans name and hometown have not yet been released, as details at this time are still limited. If you will recall, back in June, Missions:Space was closed down for a time after a 4-year-old boy died while he was riding the attraction. Officials had stated that he did not meet the minimum height requirement to board the attraction, but had rode the ride with his mother anyway. DETAILS.

Can someone please describe this ride for me?  Is it a motion simulator or what?

I find these deaths to be very odd.

It is sort of a simulator/centrifugue style ride.  Most of the time the deaths are caused by pre-existing problems and they just receive a lot of publicity because it is a Disney park.

I would also think that Disney is more likely to pull in visitors that can't handle anything that even comes close to extreme.  People probably go there expecting everything to the Mr Toads Wild Ride.

Well, there's a reason NASA examines and trains its astronauts extensively before putting them on a shuttle.... So it doesn't quite surprise me that people are having problems on that ride, especially since those people don't know they have anything wrong with them (a lot of times, people don't).... Except that boy; I thought that was just irresponsible to put him on that ride... if he's not big enough to ride a roller coaster with tons of g's, why put him on a ride that simulates a shuttle takeoff?
