Posted my reply on dot org but I will re-post here:

yeah as long as you watch the High Quality version it seemed to look fine to me. If you want even higher quality you may want to try uploading it at Vimeo as well.

You will also probably want want to speed up the speed of the lift helix. This video shows it taking about a minute:
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dc4aqU-vVMs&NR=1

Yours took about 30 seconds longer. Otherwise I thought you did a good job. Better than anything I have ever made with NoLimits :)

Excellent work!

Can you image if a park announced a ride like that now?  The internet would likely implode on it self.

Here are my predictions.

Where's the airtime?
That lift hill is dumb?
It should be taller?
Why are they using that type of train?
It looks really slow?

I uploaded a really nice mine train (video on my youtube) to coaster sims, and I got yelled at for the exact things you posted Jason. It's a FAMILY RIDE!!! Not everything has to be as big as possible. I would rather enjoy it than get hyped up for something huge, wait forever, and be disappointed in it.

Thanks for watching, I forgot to speed the lift back up. I slowed it down for some tests, and I guess I didn't boost it back up (the booster wheels at the top correct the slow speed).

Great points Jason,

Funny how we get so caught up in the numbers and stats before we even ride a ride.

Sorry Dustijn.

If anyone has NoLimits and they want the track, I'll send it to you. I warn you, it is graphic intense...and as I work on it, it will only be more so.

I have a question for anyone that remembers. Did the Zinger have a small drop out of the station, I remember there being one, but Broca has been modified from the station to the lift hill to fit it's surroundings so I don't have proof of my memory. Does anyone remember a small dip out of the station?

It was my first "big coaster" that I rode, so I had a lot of sentimental connections to it.
Good job on your recreation.

That is pretty sweet. My first coaster too, and I swore to myself I would never ride one again, that tunnel was terrifying when I was a little one. Very nice, thanks for sharing.

Seems like it was the first coaster for a lot of people around here (me included).  My second coaster was the EXT.  Funny how I don't miss that one at all...

Me too... I really miss it.  I'm pretty sure my oldest daughter would have really enjoyed it, but she never had the chance to ride...  :(

Galaxy at the defuct Peony park in Omaha was my first. Their other coaster (I think it was a miler) was my second. Orient Express was my third, Zinger my fourth. I didn't ride Timberwolf until the following summer. Worlds of Fun was a good starter park for me.

I wouldn't mind, I would really like it in fact. Amusement parks just don't seem to do well in Omaha, it has always been a water park market. That and the city council believes that roller coasters are unsafe because of an accident in the 1930's. They also ran Papa's park out of town because they wouldn't give them a tax break. Council Bluffs was the same way. We've actually screwed ourself three times on that deal.

Omaha and Councils Bluffs thought that it would be a great way to get tax revenue, but wouldn't give the park a break on land purchase and ::something else, my mind just went blank:: so we got screwed over on that deal. They wanted to open the park with four coasters.

Apparently they tried the same plan somewhere on the east coast, and got shot down there too. Maybe they have a bad business plan.

I recently sent Brandon a message asking for supplemental material to aid in my next video. I was wondering if any of the old timers ;) might have some construction drawings or blue prints of any of our coasters, past and present. I'm starting to shoot for realism, so if you have anything...it will help!

He might have some old B-roll footage.  I also know that on one of the 3-D roller coaster videos, there is footage of ZZ on it... I want to say it was the 2nd of that bunch.

The layout is different, but they appear to have some similarities (I am just going by Whizzer photos at RCDB).

Yeah, I didn't pay that much attention to the layout when I was at SFGAm, but it felt so much like the Zinger...definitely one of the best rides in that park just for that alone.

Whizzer is a lot longer. Zinger spent most of it's time close to the ground, giving the illusion of high speed. Sometimes Worlds of Fun wouldn't trim back the trees and I always recommended not putting your hands up in some parts.

That was one thing I really loved about the Zinger - how it dove around and through the trees.  It took forever for me to figure out what the complete layout was really like because you could never get a good view of it.  I think it would have been a lot less interesting ride if it had been built on a slab of concrete, for example.

Does anyone know what year they added the catwalks to the curved train trestle that went past the Zinger. I just built them in my model, but then thought about it. I don't remember them being there when the Zinger operated. Some old photos prove they weren't there a long time ago, but I'm trying to date my Zinger model mid-90's, so I want to be accurate. I personally like the trestle without them (added a certain fear of falling to the train). The bridge also looks a bit better without them, but I'm not sure if I want to delete them yet.

Here are some pictures I took today. I'm still working on the trestle, but you can see the progress. I did some more terraforming, and added some more trees/shrubs.

Old pic, but cool.

Thanks for looking!

Great stuff.

I never got to ride the Zinger. D: I feel like I've missed out on so much.
