New Stuff for 2012
« on: Jun 8, 2011, 05:57 »
Since track has started showing up I figured we could skip the rumor area.

Dollywood - B&M - What kind?
Hersey - Intamin - Hyper/Wingwalker - Confirmed
Canada's Wonderland - Leviathan - B&M Giga - Confirmed
Cedar Point: Dino Walk on Millennium Island and a Mat Racer - Confirmed
Knotts Berry Farm: Hyper/Giga Coaster?
Sea World San Diego: Mack LSM launch coaster - Confirmed
Busch Gardens Williamsburg: Zierer multi launch coaster - Pretty much confirmed
Carowinds: Windseeker?
Dorney Park: Invertigo - Pretty much confirmed
Valleyfair: Starlight Spectacular - Dino Walk?
Michigans Adventure: Starlight Spectacular?
Holiday World: Water Coaster - Mammoth - Confirmed
Kings Dominion: Windseeker - Dino Walk???
Six Flags St Louis: Water Park Expansion???

Who am I missing?

My guess for Dollywood is a flyer, Hersey is a hyper and Canada is an invert.

Dollywood is more than likely getting a wingwalker.
CanWon already has an inverted (Flight Deck) and more than likely this will be another flat
Adventureland is getting Adventure Bay Phase III
Six Flags St. Louis is getting a Hurricane Harbor Expansion
Sea World Texas is getting Aquatica
Cedar Point is gettin a new coaster over by Blue Streak

I didn't realize that CW had an SLC.

I'll add Cedar Point to the mix.  I'm assuming that the Blue Streak location would involve removing the two car rides.

Sea World San Diego is getting a Mack LSM launch coaster

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is getting a Zierer multi launch coaster

Dorney Park is getting the relocated Invertigo from CGA

Yes Calypso has already been confirmed as being on its final season as has the antique cars in that region.  The other car ride near Cedar Downs is said to get shortened and the old Pirate Ride building will be removed.  Hoping that they go back to B&M for their next coaster

It's been updated with Mr. Dover's info.

Dive Machine for CP or maybe a flyer?

I think both would be great for CP, but a flyer has a real low rph right? Or I guess since its CP they always get something on steroids lol Wish we had an idea what WOF has up there sleeve.......

A dive machine would certainly move some people.  I'd image that they might mix up the layout a bit too.

Sorry to burst your guys' bubbles, but apparently Kinzel announced at CoasterMania that CP would be getting a major new coaster in 2013, with the announcement coming next season around this time of year.

Works for me.  With me going to CP this season, I wasn't too keen on having to go back again next year for a new coaster.  Next summer is going to be busy enough with my east coast trip with all the new things going in out there (which is why I delayed that trip a year)

You don't have to wait...
Holiday World is adding the world's longest water coaster... even bigger than Wildebeest.
I've heard it is called Mammoth and will feature spinning rafts.  Should be fun.

That's crazy.  The first one was a huge hit so I guess that this is a good way to increase capacity.

The price certainly seems like the crazy part.  I like up the price for Wildebeest and it was only $5.5.

The more I think about the more I like the idea though.  It's like having two wood coasters in one park except instead of wood they're water.

That looks like I would crap my pants.  I can't tell if it is just the way the video is done, but it seems like there is airtime.  Not something I want to experience on a water slide.

^Airtime on a water slide is amazing.  Kowabunga at Noah's Ark probably has the most I have ever experienced on their camel back hump family raft slide.  I think I was in the air more than on the raft.

I sure wish OOF would get a large expansion.  It bothers me that Adventureland has more slides than OOF and has only been a "waterpark" for 3 years.

Kings Dominion is getting Windseeker and a Dino Walk next year.

Also I'm starting to hear a lot of rumblings that WOF will be getting a Windseeker too, but that might just be noise.  I don't have anything as firm on that one as I do with KD
