We miss you lots!

I borrowed these from Shane's Amusement Attic

I thought I would post some rare shots that he took as well

Happy Birthday Express, where ever you are.

Aytrane, great finds , I have never seen the press
release or height comparisons!  Thats cool!

To add to the old stuff the 1980 brochure:

Interesting factoid... Orient Express and Prowler will be the only coasters to open to the General Public (I consider Season Passholders GP) on a Friday instead of Saturday.

Is that a screamroller train the brochure, or did they actually get the Express on there?

Yeah I think that is Screamroller, doctored to look like Express.  They did the same thing with the 1976 brochure (which I don't have :()
I has the Knott's Corkscrew on the cover, you can always tell the two apart due the the corkscrew trusses.  (sorry for my spelling)

Almost every "first" photo of the new coaster at WOF has been a doctored other coaster, its kind of funny actually.

Timber Wolf had a Friday opening as well on March 31, 1989.  It was a special preview night and you had to buy tickets and I believe they were $10.  Timber Wolf was open along with a few other attractions including Orient Express if I remember correctly.  I may still have my ticket stub to this somewhere.
