Jason asked a long time ago if the chain link fence near Skyliner would remain once Patriot was built.  In pic 8 of the 3.15 update it shows that it is no longer there.  All I can say is that that looks much better now.

Now the question is whether they'll tear it down all the way to the new gate that's basically right under the drop.  It will look a little tacky if the fence remains on the hill above SD.

I am really excited to see all the work going on in that area. They seem to have really spent time inthe area and alot of attention to detail. Good Job WOF. dancing_banana

I wonder where the new concrete stops.  If I had to guess, there is probably a line between Crustanano's and the Rock where the new concrete ends and the old asphalt begins.  I really hope the Sunken Fountain area is the next place to get new concrete next season.

Also this is something that I have noticed, they appear to be going in a counterclockwise motion around the park in upgrades here lately with "big attractions & big upgrades."  They did a complete Orient section upgrade, now they have done a complete Beat Street area upgrade.  What's next?  Perhaps a large upgrade in the next section around the loop?

Well Dustijn, when we were there it was torn up just alittle past the rock wall. So the entire area is gonna be cement, except for the bridge there in the Orient section. That will still be blacktop. I  am not sure we can figure out a method to the madness of the concrete upgrades, but I would have to say Scandi may be next. But thats just a hunch. :) :blob9:

Well I meant just past the Rock, but then the line goes to the Sub Shop.

As for the "method to the madness" for concrete

97 - BBC/Camp Snoopy Area
98 - Mamba Plaza
00 - Coasters Drive In Plaza down to Mummy's Yummies and Grand Prix Raceway area
01 - Boomerang area
02 - Thunderhawk area and most of Bicentennial Square
03 - Random spots, including near Moulin Rouge and Timber Wolf Games
04 - Orient Section
05 - Various spots
06 - Beat Street and around RipCord Lake

They should redo the entrance plaza and tie it into a large reworking of the entire gate. popworm

When I was talking about method of the Madness I was talking about a direction of redoing the pathways to concrete. They have all been at random. Not going from Orient, to americana, and so forth, just alittle spotty.

I am all about Scandinavia getting a make over starting at the front gate and working its way in.  I would say gut that entire area - including the Tivolis and redo it.

A new Guest Relations building, new ticket area, new entrance gates, and then put the Tivolis over the hill on that level ground near the Orient's lot.  You know how there are stairs from the bathrooms down to that level area.  Build a double decker building there and get rid of the Tivolis.  That will open up that area for a huge front gate.  Also need new front gate Emporium shop and so on -- maybe a TGIFridays or a Red Rockets there as well?

Hmm.... lots of possibilites!
